WASHINGTON -- An adviser to President Bush said Monday that Bush's photographs in the company of disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff amount to a indication that Bush was in on some of Abramoff’s scams and should be interpreted as seriously as that.
"He has a personal relationship with him," White House counsellor Dan Bartlett said of Bush and Abramoff, who recently pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from his lobbying practices and has pledged to cooperate with government prosecutors.

“ Abramoff met Bush through The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee,” the adviser said.

Abramoff said through his spokesman the “I will not be the complete and only patsy here and I wil tell who allowed the bugging of Congress”
